Bobsleigh: Cooke does a decent bob

Edinburgh's Gillian Cooke finished a remarkable 14th in her first ever race as a bobsleigh driver in the first of the season's Europa Cup races at Igls, Austria.

Fiona Harrison, the other rookie driver in the British team, finished four places behind her in GBR1.

"That's a decent start. Fourteenth in her first race? I'm chuffed about that," said her coach John Scott, who noted that Cooke had not fallen into the trap of trying to go off too quickly at the start and then finding she was going faster than she could handle.
