Blonde ambition packs in the men

ANDY Murray has revealed the men's locker room at Melbourne Park was packed yesterday as everyone put their rackets down and huddled round the telly to see the Battle of the Blonde Beauties: Maria Kirilenko v Maria Sharapova.

"The place was absolutely packed. Normally the guys just watch the guys' matches," said Murray after Kirilenko knocked Sharapova out of the Australian Open in the first round.

So, Murray was asked if it's true that men generally prefer blondes. "I don't know," muttered the Scot, before adding: "I like brunettes, but they were quite nice."
