This week puts a huge emphasis on youth sport. It features a Tae Kwon Do demo at the National Museum by youngsters to mark East Asia Day plus junior athletics, squash, tennis and table tennis.

Also, Ewan’s the new captain at Merchants golf club while Morton cricket club will be looking to follow up a halcyon season under captain Sannah’s leadership. Watch out, too, for cycle speedway and Edinburgh Uni’s “club of the year” and local players triumphing in senior singles tennis.
