Bell back in frame for on-form Dunfermline

FIRST Division preview.

DUNFERMLINE v PARTICK THISTLE

Dunfermline, who have won five of their past six games, welcome midfielder Stephen Bell back after suspension but could be without Graeme Holmes, Alex Burke, Stephen Glass, Graham Bayne and Andy Kirk due to injury. "We have given ourselves a chance (of promotion] and full marks to the boys for doing so," said Dunfermline assistant manager Gerry McCabe. "We need to be on our guard, however, as Thistle will be out to make amends for our 4-1 win at their place." Thistle, now looking over their shoulders after a run of seven defeats in nine games, are likely to be without Martyn Corrigan, Jackie McNamara, Greg Shields, Ian Maxwell and Steven McKeown.

INVERNESS CT v AIRDRIE UNITED

Inverness front man Richie Foran is available after serving a two- game ban and is expected to go straight back in to Terry Butcher's starting line-up for a game his assistant, Maurice Malpas, insists will be a tough test despite their opponents sitting adrift at the foot of the table.

"Airdrie have beaten Dundee twice and also knocked Queen of the South out of the Scottish Cup with a 4-0 scoreline this season, so we need to be at our best," said Malpas.

Airdrie midfielder Frankie Lagana is suspended, but Tom Parrat could come into Kenny Black's thoughts after getting himself back up to full fitness.

MORTON v RAITH ROVERS

Morton manager James Grady, for whom a win would see the Greenock side jump over both their opponents and Ayr United, is unlikely to make many changes to his starting line up with centre back David McGregor continuing to keep captain Stewart Greacen on the bench. By contrast, Raith could be without nine players. Stephen Simmons is suspended, Craig Wilson, Mark Campbell and Iain Davidson are all ruled out and there are doubts over Dougie Hill, Thierry Gathuessi, Graeme Weir, Jonny Russell and Gregory Tade.
