Beauly keen to copy giant-killing antics

SHINTY: Lower league Beauly reckon seeing off Kingussie to reach the MacTavish Cup final today would be like Ross County beating Celtic.

However, they haven't ruled out another fairytale and an afternoon on live TV.

The North Division One side's last final was the MacTavish nearly 30 years ago. Premier League champions Kingussie, on the other hand, have won this competition 26 times.

But Beauly believe they could surprise the sport's most successful modern club.

"If we won it, it would be an incredible feat. It would be like County beating Celtic," said Beauly President, David Calder.

"Kingussie always approach these games properly ... but we might just take them by surprise."

In the other semi final, Fort William face Kilmallie.
