BATS flying

EDINBURGH BATS have doubled the number of summer rugby camps they will be running this summer.

The announcement comes in the wake of claims by Scottish Rugby that there are now 25,000 under-18 rugby players compared to 15,000 in 2006.

BATS, an amalgam of Edinburgh Accies, Trinity and Broughton, have organised 10 camps at both Craigroyston and Raeburn Place for 5-16-year-olds from 9-12 August. Additionally, BATS kick off weekly free two-hour coaching sessions for P1-P7 pupils next Friday at Raeburn Place. Contact John Berthinussen on 0783 489 2823.
