Basketball: Erin stars in Scots defeat

Erin McGarrachan of Glasgow Rocks was again Scotland's top player with 14 points and 12 rebounds as Edinburgh coach Donna Finnie's girls basketball team went down 63-39 to Israel in the Euro B Under-18 tournament in Timisoara, Romania.

Hannah Murray (Falkirk Fury) added 10 points for the Scots, who were 36-21 down at half-time and now face Luxembourg tomorrow to decide 17th and 18th places.

McGarrachan had another "double double" against Montenegro, scoring 18 points and taking 10 rebounds in their 62-43 defeat.
