Sole Scot Rose Anderson was reportedly "devastated" after being forced to miss the final Great Britain women's game of the Eurobasket Qualifiers due to food poisoning.

The 22-year-old Edinburgh Kool Kat stayed back when the team travelled to the Ukraine where they went down narrowly 70-66 in Dnipropetrovsk yesterday.

Although the defeat did not affect their top-of-the-group position it was still disappointing for the GB team who had won four games in a row to secure their place in next year's Eurobasket Finals in Poland.

The Standard Life GB men also lost away to Ukraine 75-66 in a match where victory could have clinched a higher seeding in next year's finals in Lithuania but in the end it did not matter as Bosnia upset FYROM to keep GB on top with a 6-2 record.

Sole Scot Kieran Achara (Stirling) had his biggest stint of the qualifiers, playing for nearly 20 minutes and scoring three from four from the line.
