Bankier and Adcock lose to Chinese

Imogen Bankier and Chris Adcock lost in the second round of the mixed doubles at the Victor Korean Open just 24 hours after beating the world champions.

The Anglo-Scottish pair, who had defeated Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei for the first time, fell to the No 2 Chinese pair of He Hanbin and Yixin Bao 21-14, 21-17.

The Chinese controlled the opening game but Bankier and Adcock, who lost to Zhang and Zhao in the world final at Wembley in August, opened up a 12-4 lead in the second game. But, at 16-13 down, He and Bao won six points in a row and went on to book their quarter-final place.
