Bailey was selected for the Australia A tour of India in late 2008 and also earned an IPL contract with the Chennai Super Kings. The 27-year-old right-hander scored 538 runs at 59.77 for the Tasmanian Tigers in this season’s domestic one-day competition, in which he captained his state to the title.
