Badminton: Hoggan cruises into semi

Gordon Hoggan, the No.1 seed, cruised through to the semi-finals of the men's singles at the Bank of Scotland Under-23 Championship at Meadowbank in Edinburgh.

Hoggan beat John Qua 21-5 21-10 in the quarter-finals and now faces a surprise semi-finalist in Steven Stewart, who knocked out No.4 seed, Gregor McVean 21-14 21-11.

The other semi sees Matthew Carder facing Andrew Gilliland.
