Athletics: Sandy Robertson set for reunion

Scottish hurdles coach (and former Malawi National coach) Sandy Robertson was given the honour of presenting the podium awards to the hurdlers at the recent British Schools International at Cardiff, 50 years after he himself competed in the meeting.

Sandy and other members of that 1961 team will meet for a Reunion lunch in Edinburgh next Tuesday, July 26.

Organisers are still anxious to trace more of the team, including the former Edinburgh University high jumper George Balfour from Duns and Trinity Academy all-rounder Gordon Shannon.
