Athletics: McAslan calls in Painter

A MODIFIED training programme using beach, road and cycle tracks and designed by coach Trevor Painter (husband and coach of UK 800 metres star Jenny Meadows) ensured that European Junior Championships 4 x 400m relay heroine Kirsty McAslan was not idle during her holidays in France.

McAslan is flying out today from Manchester to Belgium to join the rest of the Scottish team in Leuven tomorrow.
