Athletics: Gauson goes sub-four in US

Another Capital miler has broken through the four-minute barrier for the first time in the United States.

Perhaps inspired by EAC clubmate Chris O'Hare, who recently clocked 3:56.48 to go second on the Scottish All-time Indoor list, Kris Gauson (Butler University) finished third in 3:59.74 in the Alex Wilson Invitational in Indiana at the weekend. The former Scottish 1500m champion had a previous best of 4:00.31, set last January.
