Athletics: Emily gets Uni call-up

Two Scots, Emily Stewart (Edinburgh) and Elspeth Curran (Glasgow) have been named in the British women’s team of five for the World Universities Cross Country Championships in Lodz, Poland, on April 14.

Stewart is delighted to have made her first British team: “I’m really looking forward to the experience,” she said today.

Her coach Ian Whyte is also pleased: “It’s another little step in the right direction,” he said.
