Athletics: Child helps Britain into second place
Eilidh Child contributed to Great Britain's second place at the European Team Championships in Bergen by claiming second in the 400 metres hurdles. The Scottish record holder finished in 56.38 seconds, just behind Russia's Natalya Antyukh.
Britain's men dominated their rivals with Dwain Chambers dipping under 10 seconds for the first time in 11 years in the 100 metres. There were also wins for David Greene (400m hurdles), Martyn Rooney (400m), Colin McCourt (1500m) and Mo Farah (5000m).
