Arbroath hit back to beat East Stirlingshire

Arbroath put the loss of an early goal at Ochilview behind them to see off East Stirling and pick up the three points that moved Paul Sheerin's side back into a play-off place.

Kevin Cawley side-footed home his eighth goal of the season from close in to give Shire the lead, but Arbroath levelled ten minutes later when Josh Falkingham crossed from the right and Keith Gibson headed home via the bar.

Two minutes after the break, former Hibs player Ross Chisholm looped the ball over from the left and the smallest man on the park, Josh Falkingham, rose to nod home.

The win was sealed when Gavin Swankie deftly released Chisholm, and, when his shot came back off a post, substitute David McGowan was on hand to fire the rebound high into the net.
