Appeal reprieves Adams for cup clash with Stirling

ROSS County manager Derek Adams will be in the dug-out for today’s cup-tie against Stirling Albion after appealing against his eight-match touchline ban.

The Dingwall side go into this game on the back of a fine 1-0 win over Dundee in the league and boosted by the return of striker Andy Barrowman to the club from Inverness Caledonian Thistle. He is added to a full squad.

Adams watched his Second Division opponents in the last round against Albion Rovers and has pinpointed winger David O’Brien as the player that has to be contained. He said: “Stirling are looking to get back to the First Division and are a useful side. O’Brien was excellent that night and was always threatening on the left flank.”

Stirling Albion have defensive concerns with up to three centre-backs ruled out. Andy Graham and recent loan signing Brian Allison were both injured in a midweek bounce game and are rated as extremely doubtful. Dundee refused permission for on-loan Craig McKeown to play to leave Moore facing a sleepless night.

Moore said: “We are setting off for Dingwall at eight in the morning and I can only hope one of the guys has recovered.”
