Andy Roddick to retire from tennis after US Open

ANDY Roddick has announced that he will retire from tennis after the US Open.

The 2003 champion chose his 30th birthday to make the announcement at a packed press conference, meaning his second-round clash with Australia’s Bernard Tomic today could be his last match. Roddick said: “I’ve decided that this is going to be my last tournament. I just feel like it’s time.”
