Andy Murray and Dom Inglot progress in Monte Carlo Masters

Andy Murray and Davis Cup team-mate Dom Inglot reached the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters men's doubles with a straight sets win over Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas and Spain's Marcel Granollers.

The British pair won 6-3, 6-4 with a controlled display which saw them dominate the first set before having to battle hard for victory in the second.

The opening set went with serve until game eight when the British pair broke before serving out to take it 6-3.

Breaks of serve were traded in games five and six of the second set before Murray and Inglot broke again in game nine and went on to secure a 6-3 6-4 victory.

In the second round they could come up against Spanish wild card pairing Rafael Nadal and Fernando Verdasco who were due to play Germany’s Philipp Kohlschreiber and Serbia’s Viktor Troicki.
