Andorrans fail to deal with 6ft 10ins Achara and Murray

Helped by the massive under-the-basket presence of 6ft 10ins local hero and Great Britain Eurobasket squad member Kieron Achara and the deadly shooting of BBL forward Gareth Murray, Scotland were too strong for Andorra, winning 86-85 in the first of two challenge games at the Peak Sports Centre, Stirling last night.

Achara put in a surprisingly long, 31-minute stint in compiling 10 points, 14 rebounds and a huge five blocks, while Murray scored 20 points, including three from four from three-point range.

Scotland coach Tom Campbell said: "I wanted to take the chance to look at some new people and we achieved that."
