Aluko defiant

SONE ALUKO has warned Aberdeen team-mate Steven MacLean there is no way he will relinquish his claim on Saturday's decisive goal against St Mirren.

The 56th-minute strike made it 2-0 after Zander Diamond had netted a rebound when his 37th-minute header was blocked. Steven Robb scored a consolation for Saints with ten minutes left.

The victory ended the Dons' miserable 11-match winless run and, although Aluko was officially credited with the goal, manager Mark McGhee felt MacLean got the final touch. "The goal was mine, 100 per cent. There is no way anyone is taking it away from me," said Aluko defiantly.
