Allan's work is honoured

Allan Archibald, secretary of the South East Region Youth Football Association at under-13 to under-19 level, has been awarded a Special Merit Award for his contribution to grassroots football at a ceremony at Easter Road.

Archibald has dedicated years to his role as an administrator of youth football, and received recognition for his service at the Scottish FA's Quality Mark presentation afternoon.

SERYFA's Regional Vice-President Harry Smith said, "Allan Archibald is really an unsung hero. If you really see the work that guy does, it's incredible. He's doing more than one man's full-time work as a volunteer.
