Alan Berry hopes for a fruitful Hamilton

ALAN BERRY is after more success at Hamilton Park, a venue where he has enjoyed several visits to the winners’ enclosure already this season.

First up for the Cockerham trainer is Script in the Weatherbys Bank Claiming Stakes. He said: “She won her maiden over course and distance in May and has gone up 6lb for winning a 5f handicap at Haydock last time.

“We’re dropping her back into a claimer and, with her being in a bit of form, I’d be hopeful she’d have half a chance.”

Next Up for Berry is Bix in the four runner Irish Stallion Farms EBF Conditions Stakes in which Saeed bin Suroor-trained Quick Wit is likely to go off at short odds. Economic Crisis, whose three career wins have all come at the Lanarkshire track, has a better chance in the Weatherbys Private Banking Handicap. Berry also saddles Busy Bimbo and Lady Calantha.
