Agen still a threat, says Gloucester's Bryan Redpath

Bryan Redpath says he will take little notice of Agen's domestic struggle when his Gloucester team launch their Amlin Challenge Cup campaign in France tonight.

Gloucester head to Stade Alfred Armandie on the back of morale-boosting Aviva Premiership victories over Wasps and Bath after a stuttering start, while Agen currently prop up the French Top 14 table.

"Agen will be tough opponents," said former Scotland skipper Redpath. "They may be bottom of the Top 14 at the moment, but we are not reading too much into that.

The Gloucester coach added: "We've had a tough few weeks in the Premiership, but heading into European action comes at the right time.

"It's a different competition with different opponents and different locations, and that always gives you a little buzz of excitement."

Redpath recalls a fit-again Olly Morgan in the number 15 shirt, with centre Henry Trinder and wing Tom Voyce making their first starts of the season.

Sale Sharks host Spanish minnows Cetransa El Salvador at Edgeley Park tonight without injured captain James Gaskell.

Tomorrow's Challenge Cup action sees a tournament debut for Premiership newcomers Exeter, who entertain Montpellier in Pool Three, while Leeds Carnegie face Romanian hosts Bucuresti in Pool Four.
