A breakdown of yesterday's key events which ended in Rangers winning the Chapionship

12:15pm: Celtic kick-off against Dundee United at Tannadice knowing that nothing other than a victory will prevent handing the title to Rangers before a ball has even been kicked against Hibs at Easter Road in their match, due to start at 2.30pm.

12:45pm: Despite United making a strong start and putting Celtic under pressure, Neil Lennon's side get the breakthrough they are looking for when Diomansy Kamara collects a pass from Marc-Antoine Fortune and sends Celtic into the lead – much to the relief of their supporters.

12:49pm: Celtic suffer a setback when defender Thomas Rogne hobbles off. Darren O'Dea is sent on as his replacement.

1:24pm: Into the second half and United are let off when Robbie Keane is left totally unmarked after a Lee Naylor free kick but he volleys over the crossbar from 12 yards.

1:25pm: United's David Goodwillie drills his shot from the edge of the penalty area and it thumps against the base of the post, with Artur Boruc sprawling.

1:34pm: Kamara casually side-foots his volley over the bar from eight yards after a perfectly-weighted cross from Aiden McGeady.

1:51pm: United substitute Jennison Myrie-Williams receives his second quick yellow card for late challenges.

2:07pm: McGeady is bundled over deep into added on time by keeper Dusan Pernis and Keane delivers the penalty straight down the middle.

2:30pm: Match kicks off at Easter Road following a minute's silence for Sammy Baird, with Rangers naming striker Kris Boyd as a substitute.

2:36pm: Hibs midfielder John Rankin blazes over the bar.

2:45pm: Hibs, without Sol Bamba, are struggling to contain Kyle Lafferty and Kenny Miller should have done better than lift his shot from six yards over the bar.

2:49pm: Lafferty scores his third goal in four games, striking an accurate angled drive from the left of the penalty area past the dive of Hibs goalkeeper Graeme Smith.

2:56pm: Smith saves bravely at the feet of Kevin Thomson.

3:50pm: Hibs have a strong penalty claim waved away as Steven Whittaker and Riordan collide.
