New Clarkie’s Clan podcast: the stories behind Scotland’s sports stars of the future

A family-run Scottish company has launched a new podcast series celebrating young female athletes across Scotland, as part of its commitment to supporting and empowering sport and emerging talent.

The John Clark Motor Group Clarkie’s Clan podcast is the latest part of its sponsorship programme designed to support the dreams of ambitious young sportswomen. By providing financial backing or vehicles, the programme empowers these athletes to pursue excellence in their respective sports. After a rigorous selection process, seven exceptional talents were chosen to form the 2024 “Clan,” representing a diverse array of sports.

Their remarkable stories are brought to life in the Clarkie’s Clan Podcast. Each episode delves into the lives, challenges, and aspirations of these rising stars, offering listeners an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to thrive in the competitive world of elite sports.

From motorsport to mountain biking, Olympic ambitions, and professional golf, the podcast highlights the determination, resilience, and passion that fuel these athletes’ success.

Legendary hosts

The series is hosted by record-breaking cyclists Mark Beaumont and Jenny Graham, who bring their own unique perspectives to the conversations. Mark, renowned for cycling around the world in less than 79 days, and Jenny, the former record-holder for the fastest unsupported round-the-world cycle by a woman, guide discussions on overcoming obstacles, breaking barriers, and achieving greatness.
