A corporate fitness provider that partners with gyms, pools and spas across the UK to help businesses support their employees has added a host of new leisure venues to its offering in Scotland and is ready to partner with Scottish businesses.

Hussle has joined forces with Edinburgh Leisure to increase employee access to health and fitness opportunities as part of a mission to boost workforce activity levels, minimise stress and prevent ill-health.

The latest partnership has added a further 16 gyms and swimming pools to Hussle’s existing portfolio of 82 quality venues in Scotland in an agreement that reflects the shared goals of both organisations; to improve the health, wellbeing and quality of life of Scotland's workforce.

Local leisure sector knowledge

Leading on Hussle’s efforts to provide flexible fitness benefits to businesses in Scotland, Edinburgh-based Business Development Manager Matt Smith said he was delighted that the first-class facilities were now available to Hussle corporate users.

“Whether Hussle members want to swim at The Commie or work out at Meadowbank Sports Centre, the choice is theirs. I know, first-hand, what a fantastic fitness and wellness experience their venues can offer to Hussle users.

“This partnership further expands our facility offering in Scotland, allowing us to partner with more Scottish businesses and provide fitness access for their employees across the country to improve employee morale and reduce stress and burnout through physical fitness. This proactive investment by employers into their greatest asset, their people, saves money for both the companies and the NHS by having a workforce in Scotland that is healthier and happier.”

Tackling barriers to exercise

With increasing numbers of people now working remotely or in hybrid roles, Hussle believes that traditional staff wellbeing benefits are no longer enough to keep people connected, active and mentally resilient.

Underpinned by its own in-depth research, Hussle’s varied network of venues and activity types is helping to break down barriers to exercise and drive up participation. The numerous benefits of increased activity are well-documented including enhanced wellbeing, reduced stress levels and injury prevention, leading to less absenteeism, lower healthcare costs and improved productivity for businesses.

Benefits for business and staff

But the challenge remains to encourage people to move more by eliminating some of the obstacles that historically prevent them from taking up exercise, such as cost, time and accessibility. Hussle is meeting this challenge head-on thanks to its deep understanding of the needs both of businesses and individuals and strong links with industry partners.

Its rapidly growing network now includes 1,500 plus UK gyms, pools and spas, including leading brands such as Nuffield Health and Village Hotels as well as a diverse portfolio of independent gyms, public-run leisure centres and boutique venues.
