Discover Fairview International School Bridge of Allan: Coffee mornings for nursery graduates’ families

Malcolm Cochrane
Fairview International School Bridge of Allan is inviting parents and guardians of nursery graduates to attend one of its exclusive coffee mornings designed to introduce them to the school’s unique approach to education and the world-renowned International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum offered by the school.

The sessions offer an excellent opportunity to explore the school’s ethos, meet the staff, and learn more about what makes Fairview a standout choice for families.

As Scotland’s first authorised International Baccalaureate Continuum School, Fairview provides a seamless educational journey for students aged 5-18 through delivery of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Students enrolling in Year 1 embark on the PYP, a curriculum tailored to foster intellectual growth, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills. The programme also supports students in developing resilience, creativity, and confidence, equipping them for academic and professional success.

Fairview’s mission is to nurture inquisitive, knowledgeable, and compassionate young individuals who can contribute to a more harmonious and respectful global community. The school takes pride in offering a holistic education that integrates intercultural understanding and mutual respect, creating a vibrant learning environment where every student thrives.

Located in the picturesque town of Bridge of Allan, Stirling, Fairview’s six-acre campus features facilities designed to enhance the learning experience for younger students, including dedicated classrooms, a dining hall, gym, sports facilities, outdoor walking paths, an astro pitch, and a games hub. Also a certified Forest School, the extensive grounds in which it stands includes acres of woodland, making it the perfect environment for students to learn while gaining a sense of responsibility and respect for nature. This well-equipped environment complements the personalised and supportive approach teachers provide, particularly within the smaller PYP year groups which allows teachers to build stronger learning relationships with the students and deliver a more personalised approach to learning.

To ease the transition from nursery to full-time education, Fairview offers an Explorer Package alongside personalised taster days and weeks, allowing families to experience the school firsthand and understand the benefits of joining the Fairview community.

Part of a network of high-performing IB campuses in Malaysia, Fairview is known to be among the world's best-performing private schools delivering the IB, with a proven track record of graduates consistently achieving a pass rate of 100 per cent. This positions the school among the world’s leading private institutions delivering the IB curriculum.

In addition to the coffee mornings, Fairview invites prospective families to its Open Day on Thursday, 27 February, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet Headteacher Victoria Gamble, interact with teachers and students, and tour the campus. This event provides an in-depth look at Fairview’s educational approach and community.
