Bloomberg Connects, your free guide to Edinburgh’s arts and culture this summer

Bloomberg Connects offers exclusive, dynamic content to more than 500 global arts and culture organisations. The app has improved video, audio, and text as well as expert commentary and way-finding maps.
This summer. It will be particularly useful in Edinburgh during festival season with accessible and digestible details about exhibits, paintings and artworks from 14 arts and cultural organisations in the capital.

All this for free
Bloomberg Philanthropies has created the app as part of its arts programme This makes it ideal for destinations which welcome many overseas visitors – look no further than Edinburgh at this time of year.
Users’ mobile phones are turned into a place for vital information when they are in a city. Or, while planning a visit, they have the chance to explore institutions from wherever they are, letting them discover collections, curator’s tours, artists, and artwork.

Ready for use in Edinburgh
For this summer there has been an expansion of the app to include cultural institutions in the capital including over 14 major art institutions and festivals in Edinburgh. These include the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Edinburgh Art Festival, Edinburgh International Festival, Jupiter Artland, and Fruitmarket.
Not only that, the app has been designated the ‘official storyteller’ for Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This means users can enjoy an exclusive guide tracing festival history and stories.
