PwC’s transactions team worked on more than 20 deals worth more than £6billion in 2024.
The firm advised on Fintel’s acquisition of Threesixty, using a data-led approach to deliver insight and validate key metrics. It assessed the complexity of the carve-out and separation of the Threesixty business from the wider abrdn group.
PwC also advised on funding for North Star Shipping and refinancing for AGS Airports. It hosted Women in Focus networking events in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. And it worked with Fintech Scotland to create events and seminars with financial technology and other types of technology businesses.
Judges praised the team for the diversity of the deals they worked on.

Johnston Carmichael, which advised on the acquisition of Lillac Energy Software Solutions by the London Stock Exchange Group; and the acquisition of Pump Action by Nevis Capital.
Innovative Partners, which secured more than £9.5 million for more than 120 Scottish companies and projects. The firm has expanded into offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow. It also secured funding for men’s, women’s, and children’s football at Hibernian FC.
AAB Group, all of whose 25 corporate finance team members work on advisory and transaction services. The group advised Puma Private Equity on its investment in Aven, acted for ANM Group on the acquisition of Sweeney Kincaid, and worked for CJ Lang on its acquisition of ScotFresh.
