Whisky firm raises a glass to Clydesdale funding deal

The venture, which was only launched in August, is already planning to grow with new single cask offerings being introduced this month.
Building on the successful launch of The Advocates Batch from the New Town Blends, and two single malt cask releases from The Library Collection, the new additions will also be based on landmarks within the capital’s Old and New Towns. Edinburgh Whisky has been set up by Gordon Watt and Gregor Mathieson – who have almost 40 years’ industry experience between them. The pair are said to have spotted a gap in the market for high-end whiskies for both tourists and locals.
