What is Scotland’s favourite city?

A POLL by online retailer Zespoke asked 1000 Scots to identify their favourite city in the country.

It was good news for Glaswegians – as their city scooped a massive 39% of the votes, making it the most popular Scottish city of the lot.

Edinburgh took second place with 29 per cent of the votes followed closely by coastal city Inverness which came third, making it the highlight of the Scottish Highlands.

The results saw Glasgow showed that Scotland’s biggest city was the most popular among men and 18-24 year olds, while Edinburgh was firmly supported by the baby boomers.

The remaining spots on the list went to Aberdeen, Dundee and Stirling.

The final results were as follows:

1.Glasgow: 39.0%

2.Edinburgh: 29.1%

3.Inverness: 13.4%

4.Aberdeen: 4.7%

5.Other: 8.1%

6.Dundee: 2.9%

7.Stirling: 2.9%
