Subsea firm IMES lands £750,000 contract haul

Aberdeen-based marine and subsea services group IMES has won contracts worth £750,000 from oil and gas industry clients.

The business has been awarded a three-year contract to provide lifting inspection services for offshore survey company Fugro, covering four vessels.

It has also won a three-year testing and inspection deal for three vessels with subsea repair and maintenance specialist Harkand.

IMES chief operating officer Jason Smith said: “Despite the present challenging economic conditions, we are remaining upbeat about the year ahead.

IMES, which employs 70 people, is headquartered at Bridge of Don in Aberdeen, with additional operations in Rosyth, Bristol, Plymouth, Portsmouth and Sheffield. It also has an office in the US and agents in Singapore and Holland.
