Scots League Two player scores from halfway line
Peter Weatherson of Annan Athletic had already bagged two goals when he picked up the ball close to the halfway line.
The game was entering its closing stages with the visitors, at this point still clinging to a hope of reaching the play-offs, leading Elgin City 4-3.

It would later prove to be the winning goal as the home side’s Darryl McHardy completed his own hat-trick deep into stoppage time.
Unfortunately for Annan other results went against them and they’re left requiring a seven-goal swing if they’re to leapfrog East Fife into the last remaining play-off spot on the season’s final day.
