Celtic target Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko

The Hoops have joined a number of other clubs including Lille, Bourmemouth and Stoke City in eyeing up the Danish defender Erik Sviatchenko, who currently plays for Danish Superliga champions FC Midtjylland.

The 23-year-old’s agent has said that Celtic have a chance of signing him over rivals, due to their heritage and current status in European football.(Express)

John Guidetti’s agent reveals Lazio interest

The former Celtic loanee is said to be wanted around a number of European teams including in Serie A, according to his agent Carlo Cavalleri.

The Swede is currently a free agent after being released by parent club Manchester City at the end of this season.

“Verona and Lazio have been following the player” Cavalleri told an Italian website

“He likes Italy. But you have to take into account that the lad is being looked at all across Europe.” (Football-Italia)

The newly appointed Brentford boss is being urged to buy Hibs striking talent Scott Allan by Derek Johnstone.

The 23-year-old player has previously stated that he grew up supporting Rangers and that his idol was Paul Gascoigne.

Johnstone believes Allan is the right for Warburton’s side, saying: “Scott Allan is a great player. We could have had him before he went to Hibs. He has been outstanding this season.” (Evening Times)
