Orion Capital Managers, advised by property consultancy Savills, said it had secured nine leisure lettings at the South Lanarkshire mall. These new lettings mean that the leisure quarter is now 80 per cent let.

Bella Italia and Filling Station are among the eight restaurant businesses to have agreed to take space at the site while Pure Gym opened a fitness centre earlier this year. East Kilbride Shopping centre totals 1.4 million square feet and has an annual footfall of 15.5 million. The scheme is anchored by Debenhams, French Connection, Next, Primark, Topshop and Zara.

Carlene Hughes, associate director in Savills leisure team, said: “This new leisure quarter has created excellent space for strong national brands to be able to complement the retail offer at the centre.

“It is a testament to the strength of the scheme that it’s now 80 per cent let and we expect to continue to receive significant interest for the remaining units.”
