Rangers keep their ‘family tree’

RANGERS fans were miffed when Montrose airbrushed the club’s history from Saturday’s match programme but they can at least rest easy in the knowledge that their own club has taken festive measures to safeguard the honours list.

Those lucky enough to be on the Ibrox Christmas card list (the Montrose GPO is still on standby) have received cards bearing a tree decorated in baubles declaring: “Scottish Cup winners 33; 9 in a row; European Cup Winners’ Cup; Scottish League Cup Winners 27; Scottish League Champions 54.”
