Partick Thistle have signed Guinea international Mathias Pogba - the brother of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

The 24-year-old striker joins from Crawley on a one-year deal with the option of another season.

Pogba began his career in the youth ranks of Celta Vigo before returning to his native France to play for Quimper, but he has spent most of his career in the United Kingdom.

The 6ft-plus striker scored 16 goals in two seasons at Wrexham and netted 21 goals in a similar spell at Crewe before joining his brother in Italy with a move to Serie B side Pescara.

He had an unhappy spell in Italy and signed for Crawley in February but his two goals, both in the final two matches of the season, could not save the club from relegation from Sky Bet League Two.
