The 19-year-old attacker has yet to make a first-team appearance for Spurs and the North London club are keen for the player to gain more experience.

Oduwa is known for his quick feet and dribbling ability. He can operate both on the wing and through the centre.

Last season he spent time on loan at Luton Town where he made 11 appearances, though only three of those came from the start.

The player is currently in talks with Tottenham over a new contract as head coach Mauricio Pochettino has high hopes for his future.

Rangers face competition from Coventry City, managed by former Celtic and Hibs boss Tony Mowbray, and from a couple of clubs in the Netherlands. However, it is hoped Mark Warburton’s prior dealing with a Spurs young player - Alex Pritchard enjoyed a successful spell under the Rangers boss at Brentford - will convince Pochettino to hand pick Ibrox as the player’s destination.

Warburton has previously stated his desire to utilise the loan market in order to strengthen his squad. And it doesn’t appear that Rangers’ terrific start to the 2015/16 campaign has dissuaded him from attempting to lure other talents.
