Mariah Carey announces Glasgow date for European tour

Mariah Carey will kick off her European tour in Glasgow

The US singer’s Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour will launch at The SSE Hydro on March 15, off the back of her new album launch #1 To Infinity.

The powerhouse vocalist is performing in New York until December 18, after which she will take up a sold-out residency in Las Vegas before embarking on the European tour.

This is the first time Carey will perform in the UK in 12 years - the last UK tour to visit Scotland was the Charmbracelet World Tour, back in 2003.

The tour will visit six cities across the UK, includings Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and London.
