Gordon Strachan’s men will be unable to play the October fixture at Hampden because it will not be ready in time because of alterations made to the ground ahead of next month’s Commonwealth Games.

Hampden is under review by the SFA as the football body considers hosting international fixtures away from Scotland’s national stadium.

A venue for Scotland’s next home game, against the Republic of Ireland on November 14, has yet to be confirmed.

Scotland will play Georgia on Saturday 11 October.
