Gilligan drafted in to head on-trade sales at Wallaces

The Rangers director’s appointment follows the departure of Matt Munro, sales director for on-trade at Irvine-based wine and spirits wholesaler Wallaces TCB.

TCB’s parent company, the Irish drinks group C&C, took full control of the Wallaces operation last year.

A spokesman said: “Matt Munro, sales director for on trade, has decided to pursue his career outside of Wallaces TCB with immediate effect. We wish to thank Matt for his contribution to the business and for his help in integrating the Scotland sales team, and wish him every success for the future.

“We’re pleased to announce that John Gilligan will be leading our sales force for the next few months until such time as we are able to appoint a replacement. John is a well-known and respected member of the team having previously served as managing director of Tennent Caledonian Breweries.

“We are actively recruiting for the position of on-trade sales director and will make an announcement in due course.”
