After being spotted dancing near the front row at the SEE Hydro, Bono beckoned for her to come up on the stage. Ms Dickson, 32, was hoisted over the barriers, and spent part of Mysterious Ways with Bono’s arm around her waist as she danced away.

At the end of the song, the two got down on their knees as Bono asked her name, to which she replied “Jaq”. After asking where she was from, the crowd responded with loud cheers when she announced Fife.

During the next song, Elevation, Ms Dickson was given a camera, which was hooked up to the venue’s screens so she could film the crowd and band.

She said the night was unforgettable: “It was like a dream to be on stage with the band. I absolutely love them! I’ve seen them in many different cities but you can’t beat the Scottish crowd. Just wow. It was amazing. At one point when I was watching Adam Clayton and The Edge playing Elevation, I was thinking ‘Yep, I have died and this is heaven!’ I can’t describe it!”

The video has now been viewed over 6,000 times since Friday on YouTube.

A Kirkcaldy man who was at the concert sent the link to Fife Today.
