New stores boost Livingston Designer Outlet sales

Livingston Designer Outlet has added a string of stores in time for Christmas, heralding a solid period of trading for the West Lothian shopping complex, writes Scott Reid.

The centre, which has seen an increase of 10 per cent in footfall and 13 per cent growth in sales in the year to date, has welcomed fashion retailer Gerry Weber, jewellery specialist Ernest Jones – The Outlet Collection, luxury beauty supplier the Cosmetics Company Store and Lochcarron of Scotland alongside North Face which opened during the summer.

The new Ernest Jones outlet branch will feature several major watch brands including Breitling, Omega and TAG Heuer.

Karen Stewart, manager of the centre, said: “At a time when trading figures for Scotland and the UK as a whole are showing marginal growth we are delighted to be bringing more big name brands to our customers.”

The designer mall opened 15 years ago as McArthur Glen.
