A team from award-winning Edinburgh based Public Relations Agency, Holyrood PR recently completed the demanding 12K Total Warrior mud run in North Berwick following months of intensive training, raising a four figure sum for a Scottish charity.

Director Scott Douglas, said: “Being caked in thick treacly mud, subjected to electric shocks, plunged into icy water and forced to jump over fire - is it everybody’s idea of fun? No, but we had an absolute blast.

“The 16 weeks of training we put in was a fantastic and rewarding team-building exercise and the buzz when we crossed the finishing line together was tremendous.

“The fact that we also raised well over £1000 for a charity which sends deserving kids to a Perthshire holiday camp with SSC helped us focus and was a total bonus.

“The troubling thing is, we appear to have caught the bug and are already looking at where next year’s insane challenge may lie.”
