The charity, which is close to the hearts of the team at FitnessChicks, including director, Laura Westwater, hairdresser, Paula Anderson and beautician, Grace Drummond who knew Josh Nolan, was set up by mum, Laura Nolan, in 2013.

Laura set up the JNF to educate people about mental health and reduce the number of suicides in Scotland by helping those who need it, gain access to counselling, following the death of her son Josh two years ago.

Laura Nolan, said:  “I am absolutely delighted and hugely grateful to the girls at FitnessChicks who are putting on this week-long fundraiser for the Josh Nolan Foundation.  It is important we get the message out there to as many youngsters as possible that there is help out there and this is a great way to do it.”

All 40 boot camps and classes at the fitness, health and beauty centre will run throughout the week on an ‘entry by donation’ basis.

There will also be prize draws with the chance of winning everything from a free session with a Personal Trainer and a month’s membership to a FitnessChicks t-shirt and hair and beauty treatments. Additionally, all visitors will receive a 25 per cent off all treatments voucher in the vintage-styled beautician and boutique hairdressing salon.

Laura Westwater said; “We are really excited and looking forward to our Open Week Fitness Fundraiser to help raise awareness and funds for the JNF.

“There is a lot of research on how exercising can help people suffering from depression which is why we thought this was a perfect link-up.

“Our Open Week will also give us the chance to showcase what we have here at FitnessChicks whilst raising money for the incredible charity as the same time.”
