Edinburgh’s Waverley Arches sees first customers

Edinburgh’s Waverley Arches development has seen the first business open its doors, with Uncover Lab enjoying its initial day of trading yesterday after a launch party the night before.

The firm specialises in laser etching, engraving and cutting into objects for “ultra-personalisation,” engraving images onto, for example, iPads or wooden surfaces, its UK co-owner Stephen Gorman told The Scotsman.

Working with business partner Liam Lapping, he said the launch went “really well” and predicted that the Arches project, by Edinburgh’s Staran Architects, will take off as a hub for independent businesses.
