Capital Document Solutions lands £3m contract haul

Office equipment supplier Capital Document Solutions has won deals with a raft of educational establishments worth more than £3 million.

The Edinburgh-based firm, founded by managing director Tom Flockhart in 1979, will supply North East Scotland College with 65 items of reprographic and document solutions equipment across its campuses in Aberdeen, Fraserburgh and Peterhead.

Meanwhile, the University of St Andrews awarded Capital a contract to supply managed print services in addition to an existing contact, while the University of the Highlands & Islands (UHI) will install the company’s equipment at its new £40m Inverness College UHI campus before rolling out to a further four campuses across the region, as well as its executive office.

In total, the contracts are worth in excess of £3m to Capital, which employs more than 220 north of the Border across its bases in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Shetland.

Flockhart said: “These wins demonstrate the depth and spread of our staff experience and skills to cover a range of client requirements.

“Having regional offices in key locations across Scotland allows us to have the infrastructure in place to deal with local and national client requests in a timely, cost-effective and environmentally efficient manner.”
