Man ‘seriously injured’ in St Andrews incident

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after 26-year-old man was found with serious injuries in St Andrews.

The incident occurred in Rose Lane at around 2am on Sunday morning.

The man was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

Police forensic officers were sent to examine the scene and a police incident tent was erected.

Police have been maintaining a presence at the scene.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Fife are investigating after a 26-year-old man was found with serious injuries in St Andrews.

“The incident occurred in Rose Lane at around 2am on Sunday, November 1. The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, for treatment.

“Enquires into how the sustained his injuries are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
